Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. COMPETITION IS LIMITED TO SDVOSB'S PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY SET FORTH IN 38 USC 8127(d). RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the Repair Steam Condensate Line Project at the Omaha Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings for Repair Steam Condensate Line OM Project Number R636-07-302ES-01 at the Omaha Division of the Department Of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE, and all applicable codes and standards. The main item of work required is to replace approximately 700 lineal feet of high pressure steam condensate line. This project includes asbestos abatement, selective demolition, steam pipe fitting and mechanical work. Work to be preformed is located in an underground steam tunnel connecting the main hospital and boiler plants. Boiler plant will be operational during all phases of this project. Solicitation Number VA-263-09-RA-0264 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about June 12, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held on June 19, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on July 17, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
