- Description
- The United States Army CECOM Contracting Center-Army Contracting Command, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703, intends to solicit and award a Sole Source, Five-Year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to procure the AM-7105A/A Stability Augmentation System Amplifiers (SAS Amps), and sub-assemblies. The anticipated effort is intended to be a Sole Source Contract to Honeywell International, Inc., 9201 San Mateo Boulevard, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87113-2227. The SAS Amp, NSN 5990-01-317-8581, is the primary flight control system of the Armys fleet of UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopters and assists the pilot with control of the helicopter. The other items to be acquired under the proposed award are critical sub-assemblies of the SAS Amps, and include Rate Gyroscopes (NSN 6615-01-087-1821), Pitch Modules (5821-01-175-0818), and Roll/Yaw Modules (5821-01-175-0825). Honeywell is the original manufacturer and the only source that produces the SAS Amp and sub-assemblies. The Government only possesses a detailed specification, and does not possess a Technical Data Package (TDP). The NAICS code for this procurement is 334511 with the corresponding Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. Items shall be shipped FOB Destination to New Cumberland Army Depot, New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002. The potential offeror must have the ability to abide by the following delivery schedule: A quantity of 15 units each of the AM-7105A/A Stability Augmentation System (SAS) Amplifier, NSN 5990-01-317-8581, delivery to commence 270 days after Award Receipt of Order (ARO), then 15 units each per month thereafter until completion. A quantity of 10 units each of the Rate Gyroscope, NSN 6615-01-087-1821, delivery to commence 270 days ARO, then 10 units each per month thereafter until completion. A quantity of 5 units each of the Row-Yaw Module, NSN5821-01-175-0825, delivery to commence 270 days ARO, then 5 units per month thereafter until completion. A quantity of 5 units each of the Pitch Module, NSN 5821-01-175-0818, delivery to commence 270 days ARO, then 5 units each per month thereafter until completion. Inspection and Acceptance will be at Source. The estimated maximum amount for this effort will be $20,000,000.00. The Solicitation Number assigned to this effort is W15P7T-09-R-A026 and will be issued on or about June 15, 2009.
