Description
Sources Sought: The Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA/VA), James A. Hanley Veteran's Hospital located in Tampa, Florida is conducting a market survey to seek sources that are able to provide the following brand name or equal equipment: Line Items 0001 - Qty Unit 1 EAMfr. Item Manufacturer Product/Service Name Salient Surgical Technologies Part Number CAT 40-402-1KUS, Aquamantys System includes 1 ea (Aquamantys Pump Generator, and 1 ea Aquamantys System Cart). The Aquamantys System is designed to reduce blood loss during surgical procedures and decrease the risk of transfusions. This allows for improved clinical outcomes for patients and associated decreased in cost of care. Patients undergoing orthopedic and spine procedures are at significant risk for blood loss, transfusions and related complications. Aquamantys System will provide the following clinical benefits for patients undergoing fusion surgery; improved visualization of the operative field during surgery, reduced operative time, reduced surgical blood loss, reduced requirements for blood transfusions, reduced need for autologous blood transfusions, maintenance of higher hemoglobin levels and improved operating room efficiency. This requirement is for a brand name or equal in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c) and VAAR Clause 852.211-73. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. This is not a request for a competitive quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquires will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit their product literature for consideration to Department of Veterans Affairs - James Hanley Veterans' Hospital (Procurement Business Division) 13000 Bruce B.
