Description

THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. A WORK ASSIGNMENT IS BEING AWARDED UNTER THE REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT2 (RAC2), CONTRACT NO. EP-W-05-049. In compliance with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, the Government posts this special notice of intent to issue a Work Assignment under an established, competitively awarded, Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (EP-W-05-049), Work Assignment 232-RARA-081Y. The purpose of this Work Assignment is to obligate $2,800,000.00 for the continuation of the fund-lead Remedial Action (RA) activities for support of the Upper Tenmile Creek Mining Area, Rimini Road Superfund Site. The Work Assignment will be funded using funding for continuing remedial action work from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The work is to provide support to the site cleanup of elevated concentrations of contaminants in mine wastes, stream sediments, surface water, groundwater, residential yards, and roadway materials. The contractor shall furnish all necessary and appropriate subcontract construction support to complete the remediation of Rimini Road within and north of the community of Rimini, Montana. The period of performance for this is from 05/26/2009 to 09/27/2010. Although the Agency's RAC2 contracts were not awarded as FP contracts, they were awarded competitively, and each contract structure was selected to provide the contractor with the greatest incentive for efficient and economical performance, given the types of services to be performed.
