Description
The US Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is seeking potential sources with the capabilities and facilities to provide counter sniper retro-reflector system for the existing United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). USSOCOM is interested in locating vendors who are currently using the most mature advanced retro-reflector system capabilities to include the following: GPS grid coordinate solution output capability, laser range finder, inclinometer, compass and advanced day/night camera capability with 360 degree coverage.The counter sniper retro-reflector shall be capable of meeting the following criteria: 1) ability to identify the retro-reflection signatures given by optical devices like those used by snipers 2) display the location of interest for visual identification 3) provide sniper location as a grid coordinate to a targeting system 4) manual and automatic operation and 5) provide video output. Responses should include a product description with performance parameters and a statement regarding current availability, summary of prior testing, test reports, summary of logistic and maintenance requirements and an estimated cost for the price of test articles and production units. All proprietary and restricted information provided inresponse to this notice should be clearly marked as such. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small business. Please provide name of firm, address, POC, phone/fax number, and email address. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for information and planning purposesonly.This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFP. In addition, the Governmentdoes not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
