Description

THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. A WORK ASSIGNMENT IS BEING AWARDED UNDER THE REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT 2 (RAC2), CONTRACT NO. EP-W-05-049. In compliance with the American Recovery and Re-investment Act (ARRA) of 2009, the Government posts this special notice of intent to issue a Work Assignment under an established, competitively awarded, Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (EP-W-05-049), Work Assignment #234-RARA-02NS. The purpose of this Work Assignment is to obligate $4,700,000.00 to allow the contractor to perform the necessary activities to implement and construct the remedial action in accordance with the final remedial design, plans, specifications, general technical provisions, and special requirements in accordance with the EPA Record Decision (ROD). In addition to construction of the remedy, the remedial action will include necessary operation and maintenance, performance monitoring, and applicable special requirements. The completed final remedial design will be the basis for the remedial action to achieve the remediation goals specified in the ROD. The Work Assignment will continue remedial action work at the site and will be funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The period of performance for this is from 05/28/2009 to 09/27/2010. Although the Agency's RAC2 contracts were not awarded as FP contracts, they were awarded competitively, and each contract structure was selected to provide the contractor with the greatest incentive for efficient and economical performance, given the types of services to be performed.
