- Description
- After the posting of the Questions and Answers from the Pre-Proposal Conference, the Government discovered some answers were either not fully answered or in error. Below is a list of the question numbers and the corrected answers: 19)Metron Farnier or approved equal 16) 100 amps. 220 volts 52) and 72) Normal working hours on base are 0700 to 1700. Non standard hours are available upon written request through base contracting officer. 71) We have no in-house capability for water testing. Water for well development will be discharged as directed by DM. 99) The contractor is responsible for the disposal of all waste material. The Government assist by draining the tank with normal use before the tower is demolished. The water consumption on a given day can not be predicted. This can be coordinated during the design/construction phase of the project. 102) Underground water mains and service piping 4-inches and greater shall be AWWA C900, Class 150 PVC with AWWA C111, cast iron fittings and ASTM D3139 compression gasket ring joints. Bury pipe 3 ft below grade and marked with bright-colored continuously printed plastic ribbon tape manufactured for direct burial. In addition to the required plastic ribbon tape, provide an insulated, #12 AWG solid copper tracer wire installed along the tip of all non-metallic pipe. See answer to Question 94 for isolation valve placement. On the air field we will vary from the DCG. We want isolation valves at the beginning and end of the new lines, on either side of road, taxiway, or runway crossing and at every 2000 feet. 123) Contractor is required to perform all testing per applicable codes and regulations. 174) Pressure zone maps and operating pressures have been provided. Maximum flow rates can be calculated based on pipe sizes and local pressures from the attachments. 64) The new pumps, except well 2B, are to be vertical turbine, not submersible. 77)The new tank at site 5 must be elevated for fire protection and security. For any clearification of these or any other question from the per-Proposal Conference, contact Bryan Jackson at (520)228-5441 or email to bryan. Jackson @ dm.af.mil.
