- NECOSYNOPSIS The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for Brand New SONY AJT.5 (SDX5-400C) Storage Tape. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number N00167-08-T-0129 applies and is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. The requirement is as follows: Clin-0001 Quantity-(2702) each. Item Description: Sony (Brand Name Only) Advanced Intelligent Tape, Part number SDX5-400C 8mm; original packaging w/proper labels in a plastic case, each case wrapped in original factory plastic to ensure that tape has not been compromised. (New Material Only,*Note: Equals or Refurbished Tapes will not be accepted) The official Request for Quotation (RFQ) N00167-08-T0129 is anticipated to be issued on or about June 12, 2009 and can be accessed via the following websites: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ or https://www.neco.navy.mil/. Award will be conducted on a competitive basis under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS is 334112 and number of employees 100. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the agency. Note: All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, prior to award of a contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchase agreement.
