Description
THIS POSTING'S PURPOSE IS ONLY TO IDENTIFY POTENTIAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF ALLEN PARISH, LOUISIANA. The NAICS for this project is 237310 (Bridge Construction) The Bureau of Indian Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought to find qualified Tribally Own Firms, American Indian Own Firms, 8(a) Firms, Service Disable Veteran Own Firm, and Hub Zone Firms capable of constructing a New Bridge. Work under this project consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, transportation, material, services, and incidentals necessary to replace the 9 span existing Timber Bridge (154 Feet Long) with the construction of one (1) new 154 Feet- 9 span Concrete Bridge. The existing bridge is located on Powell Road (Route No. 191) crossing the Bayou Blue Diversion in Allen a Parish, Louisiana. Design and Engineering have been completed. Permits, archeological and environmental clearances have been acquired. Rights of way is being finalized. Project consist of, but not limited to; mobilization, construction surveying and staking, material testing, traffic maintenance and control, clearing and grubbing, demolition and removal of existing structure, structure excavation, earthwork, electric, gas, sewer, water, and communication utilities, grade & drain, aggregate roadway, temporary and permanent erosion control, guard rail installation, object markers, complete construction of a concrete bridge structure, fence installation, embankment stabilization, pile installation, paving, and signage. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES, PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BIDS. The responses received from this posting will be used to compile a list of potential Prime Construction Contractor and Sub Contractor. Contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR). Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov. The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into in any form of contract with any person, firm or other entity that receives this inquiry. The inquiry neither states nor implies that future contracts will be awarded to persons, firms, or other entities responding to this inquiry. All interested parties shall respond with a notice of interest to include its company business status and any other capability information relating to the government need, not later than June 12, 2009.
