Description
This procurement is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PL. 11-5 (February 17, 2009). Center Name: FRENCHBURG CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CENTER Location:FRENCHBURG KENTUCKY I. SOURCES SOUGHT – HUBZONE General Contractor for renovation and alterations The work involves design-build services to renovate the Food Service Building (Building 554) at the Frenchburg Civilian Conservation Center, totaling approximately 6,000 gross square feet. The Food Service Building has a number of repairs such as electrical system needs to be upgraded kitchen storage, area lighting and the air conditioning system for the building needs to be repaired or replaced; the suspended ceiling system in the kitchen needs repair and more rest room facilities are needed for the students and staff; exterior weather protection is required; rear door and some exterior masonry also needs repair; the below-slab waste line drainage system in the kitchen area drains slowly and a study needs to be performed; kitchen exhaust hood needs to be replaced. Total construction range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This work is planned to take place between August 2009 and August 2010. Response Date: June 8 2009@3:00pm edt - The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) wishes to procure design-build NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SOLICITAION IS POSTED. Total construction range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are HUBZone businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested HUBZone parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to include three projects completed within the last five years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project.
