- This procurement is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PL. 11-5 (February 17, 2009). Center Name: GOLCONDA JOB CORPS CENTER Location:GOLCONDA, ILLINOIS I. SOURCES SOUGHT – HUBZONE General Contractor for renovation and addition The Work involves services to design and renovate Building 6 (Kitchen and Dining Hall) and Building 8 (Recreation/Gym) at the Golconda Job Corps Center. The Work in Building 6, whose area is approximately 10,000 gross square feet, will include the demolition of the existing flooring, ceilings and interior partitions as well as the construction of new partitions and wall, floor and ceiling finishes to create accessible restrooms, the removal of the existing windows and the installation of the new energy-efficient windows, and the removal of existing building HVAC system and the installation of a new high-efficiency HVAC system complete with new ductwork and insulation, electrical power connections with wiring, conduit, and starter, and programmable controls. The Work in Building 8, whose area is approximately 16,320 gross square feet, shall include the removal of existing building HVAC systems serving the gymnasium and the installation of a new high-efficiency HVAC system complete with new ductwork and insulation, electrical power connections with wiring, conduit and starter, and programmable controls. Total construction range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This work is planned to take place between August 2009 and August 2010. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are HUBZone businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested HUBZone parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to include three projects completed within the last five years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project.
