Description
RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SOLICITATION NO. W912P9-09-R-0730, for MESD -DRILLING AND SAMPLING UNDERSEEPAGE, PHASE I - due to Other Statutory Authority FAR 6.302-5 (4). The Contractor shall supply the necessary plant, equipment, manpower, materials, and supplies to permit land-based drilling and sampling to a maximum depth of 300 feet. The Contractor shall supply the necessary plant, equipment, manpower, materials, and supplies to permit overwater drilling and sampling to a maximum depth of 150 feet. The purpose of the work specified herein is to provide subsurface information for the evaluation of foundation conditions in areas of known or suspected HTRW. Such information is dependent on accurate logs of the foundation conditions and characteristics, the recovery of the highest percentage of sample possible, and the recording of natural conditions such as water levels. Access to sites to include clearing of overgrowth, brush or trees, drilling equipment, water for drilling, and repair of damage to exploration sites necessitated by access and/or the drilling process shall be part of the requirements. The amount of drilling and sampling which actually will be required is unknown and will be governed by conditions encountered as the work progresses. The Contracting officer reserves the right to direct the sequence of work.
