Description
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FULL & DETAILED SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED BY JUNE 5, 2009. THIS REPRESNTS UNICOR'S INTENTION TO POST A SOLICITATION! UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., Clothing & Textile Business Group (CTBG) intends to enter into an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract with a single or multiple vendors for delivery to all of Unicor, Clothing and Textiles Locations. The period of performance shall be five (5) years. The products are commercial items, Sewing Machine Parts. The scope of the contract is to acquire contractor support services for UNICOR, Clothing & Textiles Business Group (CTBG) in the following area: A web based ordering system from which CTBG staff is able to order and purchase any of the parts for Sewing Machine types and Models. The web page must contain a diagram of each machine and their parts CTBG currently uses that are on the Inventory List. The bidders' proposals must contain a line item for web development fee and a line item for web maintenance fee. The bidders' proposals must also indicate an estimated time in which the web based ordering system will be available to CTBG after award. Bidders are required to submit a priced list containing all High-Mortality parts for which the bidders are able to maintain inventory. The list must be submitted on an Excel Spread Sheet. The parts list should be based on CTBG's Sewing Machines models, as well as the bidders' historical data of parts usage and life-cycle. UNICOR will not provide a list of the parts. UNICOR will provide the Machines' Sub-Classes list. Delivery Lead Time for the High-Mortality Parts will be 7 days or less. The bidders proposed delivery lead times will be held after award and will not be subject to change. Bidders are encouraged to submit a separate price list with additional parts which their delivery lead time is more than 7 days but less than 30 days. The list must be submitted on an Excel Spread Sheet. Items will be shipped to the various locations of CTBG through CTBG FedEx account (Shipping should not be included in your pricing). Vendor must keep track of all nation-wide sales for the CTBG. Records should be categorized by factory; machine type, part order, and the part's shipping lead time. The contract performance duration is Five (5) Base Years. Vendors must submit a Management Plan for the total process (i.e. the general plan of maintaining this project for the duration of the contract, web page maintenance, tracking orders plan, etc).
