- Item 0001: NSN: 4920-00-272-5665 RN; P/N: 42-041-1; NOUN: Electronic Test Set; DELIVERY: 180 DAYS ARO; APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: HEIGHT: 21 inches; WIDTH: 13 inches; DEPTH: 7.5 inches; FUNCTION: an anti-skid tester that provides instrumentation for field level testing of anti-skid braking system and system components, multiple aircraft applications. Item 0002 is manuals. This requirement is for basic quantity of 86 ea and 2 quantity annual options for: Option I-1-30 ea; Option II-1-20 ea. Options may be exercised for Air Force (AF) or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements. Assets shall be shipped FOB Origin. The RFP is being issued on a sole source basis to Crane Aerospace, Hydro-Aire Inc., Cage Code 81982. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 13 June 2009. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage ( http://www.fbo.gov/ ). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. Technical data is NOT available.
