Description
This Sources Sought Notice, Number AG-84N8-S-09-0094, is issued by the US Forest Service in performing market research to determine industry interest and capabilities. This is a request for information announcement only. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and in no way commits the Government to award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on the submission of this Request for Information nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The US Forest Service reserves the right to terminate this request and change its requirements if needed. Responding to this notice does not guarantee participation in future activities. The US Forest Service is issuing this Sources Sought as part of market research for the Lucerne Campground Restroom and Fish Cleaning Station Project. This project consists of removal and disposal of four restroom buildings, a fish cleaning station and utility lines and installation of four new restroom buildings, new utility lines and a new fish cleaning station. The work includes demolition and disposal of four wood and masonry framed flush restrooms with concrete sidewalks and utility lines; demolition of an existing fish cleaning station with concrete slab, pavilion and utility lines; removal of approximately 624 feet of 6-inch cast iron sewer line; preparation of aggregate pads and installation of utilities for two Government furnished 6-stall flush restrooms with showers and two Government furnished 4-stall flush restrooms; constructing a new fish cleaning station with concrete slab, pavilion and utility lines; and installing approximately 624 feet of new 8-inch PVC sewer line including modification of two sewer manholes. The project is located in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area of the Ashley National Forest, Daggett County, Utah, in Section 20, T 3 N, R 21 E. It is located approximately 8 miles East of Manila, Utah. The project may be accessed from Lucerne Valley Recreation Road. The US Forest Service is seeking/targeting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, SBA 8(a) Disadvantaged Small Businesses or any other small business that have the capability to complete the above requirements. The NAICS Code is for Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, 237990. A small business would not average $31.0 in the last three years.
