Description
46th Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. This annual conference provides a comprehensive continuing education program in medical facilities management for all Air Force medical facilities managers and a selected number of Health Facilities Officers. Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) A7KM-S, 2509 Kennedy Circle, Brooks City-Base, TX 78235, intends to issue a sole source award to American Hospital Association Inc. 1 N. Franklin St, STE 2800, Chicago IL 60606-4425 to provide the facility and conference for approximately 130 Air Force medical facilities managers and health facilities officers (FM/HFO)to attend the 46th Annual Conference and Technical Exhibition of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. This annual conference provides a comprehensive continuing education program in medical facilities management for all Air Force medical facilities managers and a selected number of Health Facilities Officers. The program offers educational sessions in the key areas of medical facilities management to include: o Building operation and maintenance o Healthcare safety and security o Healthcare facility design and construction o Healthcare emergency management resources and planning o OSHA & EPA environmental compliance o Joint Commission (JC) and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) compliance The above programs must also offer updates on key legislative and other regulatory changes affecting medical treatment facilities, esp. those which concern National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 101, Life Safety Code and Code 99, Healthcare Facilities issues, and the latest directives from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Nationally recognized industry experts present these educational sessions. In addition to the above educational programs and technical exhibition, a comprehensive manual or electronic media equivalent of the proceedings and presentation handouts shall be provided to each attendee Any firm that believes it can provide the stated services is invited to submit a written notification to christopher.clouser.ctr@brooks.af.mil within three (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
