- Statement of Work This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), RFQ-09-0169, being issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of Acquisition Equipment and Services Division with an intent to procure services for the recycling of lead acid batteries in accordance to the attached statement of work (SOW). This solicitation is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, the acquisition of commercial items and services in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation, and award as prescribed in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-31 effective on April 20, 2009. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423510 with an industry size standard of 100 employees. The selected Offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items The selected Offeror must submit a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the following clauses in 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, and 52.232-34. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Also interested firms are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
