Description

USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing a project under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program for Hunt County, Texas. The site is located approximately 4.5 mile south of Leonard, Texas. The repair consists of removing the slide area materials and re-placing the material with class A compaction and replacing the last 4 sections of the principal spillway. The major items of work consist of: preparing the access and campsite, removing fences from the work area, clearing grubbing the work area, stripping and stockpiling the topsoil from the slide area, excavating the slide area, backfill the embankment slopes with earthfill, placing topsoil on the slope and rebuilding the outlet sections of the principal spillway. The solicitation is expected to be posted o/a 15 June 2009. Range: $100,000 to $250,000
