- Description
- This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Procurement. This project is for a design-build contract for the Renovation of Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Buildings 3755 and 3740 at Naval Air Station, Kingsville, TX. Renovation includes complete demolition of the interior and conversion to one and two bedroom units. New plumbing, HVAC, elevators, windows doors, new roofing and utilities are included. All required Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features will be included. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $33,500,000 dollars. The estimated price range for this project with all options is between $5M and $10M dollars. The solicitation should be available on or about 16 JUN 2009. This is a Design Build project, requiring offerors to provide the A&E design as well a the final constrcution of the project. It will solicited under a two phase process in which a base of offerors must provide experience and past performance and capabilities (including financial and bonding) under Phase One with a selected pool of those offerors invited to participate in Phase Two in which their technical and price proposals will be evaluated on specific approaches to the project. This is a follow on to a sources sought notice N6945009RM955published in January 2009. The solicitation will be made available electronically at www.neco.navy.mil under solicitation number N6945009R0769. The solicitation will address all specifics as well as deadline for receipt of offers when it is published.
