Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. IAW FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Reps and Certs An offeror shall complete only paragraph (b) of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. Contract award will be made to the responsive offeror whose offer will result in the best value to the Government, with price, past performance and technical being equal in value. For technical the government will review the delivery schedule and the quality that best meets the governments requirements. All quotes shall include the following minimum information: Expected Delivery Date, Cage Code, Duns Number, Taxpayer I.D. No., Payment Terms, and/or Discount Terms, Offerors Reps and Certs, Quote Expiration Date, Point of Contact, Phone, Fax, and Email. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. Quotations may be emailed to lea.walker@usace.army.mil and Robyn.Ratchford@usace.army.mil no later than June 8, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. NOTE: Quotations must include: furniture prices, installation costs, and projected delivery date. The anticipated award date will be June 15, 2009. Contractors are required to attend a site visit on June 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the US Army Corps of Engineers facility in Winchester, VA. The address is Transatlantic Programs Center, 201 Prince Frederick Drive, Winchester, VA 22602. All contractor representatives attending this site visit are required to be U.S. citizens and all names must be provided by June 3, 2009 no later than 3:00 p.m. to Lea.Walker@usace.army.mil and Robyn.Ratchford@usace.army.mil. Contractors are to field verify all existing conditions and existing products during this site visit. Work inside the Transatlantic Programs Center Complex and Office Building will take place so that the normal operation of the Complex is not interrupted. Contractor will coordinate furniture component needs and procure all needed components prior to installing furniture. Contractor is required to coordinate with the Contracting Officers Representative to begin work inside the complex. The Complex has normal working hours from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. PRIVATE OFFICE WOOD DESK COMPONENTS All components are to be medium cherry finish on hardwood veneer, book matched. Edge treatment is to be ogee. Pulls are to be solid anodized aluminum round knobs. Drawers extend 100% on ball bearing glides. Provide grommets in each desk component. Contractor is to field verify existing conditioners and dimensions and is to provide all parts, pieces, components, etc. to provide a complete and finished workstation. Furniture and components must be the same as or equal to: Dar/Ran, Sierra; Knoll, Magnusson; Kimball, Transcend; or Gunlocke, Medley. WS4: -66X30 Single pedestal desk -72x24 Single pedestal credenza -72 stack on overhead storage unit with task light and tackboard -pencil drawer -60x30 D shaped peninsula top WS5 -72x36 racetrack conference table (Match finish to existing desk components.) Technical drawings will be provided at the site visit. Award will be based on schedule, quality, and price. Project Location/Area Description: The bulk of the proposed work for the Conference Cubicles Setup project will include Furniture Procurement & Installation in the second level conference room. In addition to the second level work free standing furniture will be added in two walled offices on the first level of the USACE TAC building in Winchester, Virginia. See attached Overall Building Plans sketch for work locations within the building. Scope of Services: This project consists of procurement and installation of 22 office cubicles and supporting office furniture in an open office configuration; and free standing furniture in two walled offices. Refer to Technical Package Requirements: Product brochure specifications and manufacturers lead time are requested at time of proposal. Prior to the start of procurement and installation of office furniture submittal approvals will be required for but not limited to the plan layout, itemized component list and color samples. Contractor is to field verify all existing conditions and existing products. Schedule: Work inside the TAC Complex and Office Building will take place so that the operation of the TAC Facility is not interrupted. Work inside Conference Room will be allowed during office hours as long as it does not conflict with the operation of the TAC Facility. Movement of panel/furniture shall take place after office hours and on weekend(s). Contractor will coordinate furniture component needs and procure all needed components prior to installing furniture. Procurement of panel/furniture. Install panels/furnishing in area designated in Technical Package (second floor conference room). Work on the first level will be allowed after office hours. Procurement of free standing furniture, relocation of existing furniture and installation on freestanding furniture. TAC employees office hours are 6AM 6PM Monday through Friday. Contractor will be allowed inside the TAC Complex on weekend hours of 7AM and must have vacated the premises by Midnight the same day. Monday-Friday entry to the TAC Complex will be at 6PM and must have vacated the premises by Midnight the same day. Security: Only local criminal records checks shall be accepted which have been completed by a National Employer Background Investigation Company of the companys choice. The companies themselves cannot conduct their own local criminal records checks. Contractors Employees are to be escorted while on the TAC Complex. Escorts will be provided by the Government.
