- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center, Camp Douglas, WI is searching for vendors that can provide mess attendant services for Patriot 2009 from 10 July to 25 July 2009. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision and any items and services necessary to perform food service (mess) attendant services at the Dining Facility located at Volk Field CRTC. Contractor tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: serving and replenishing foods, cleaning facilities, equipment, maintaining quality control, ensuring operator maintenance repair of food service equipment, and in the event of contingency, perform all required tasks to include cooking to ensure continued service. The performance Work Statement PWS, which includes the schedule and workload estimates, is attached to this posting. Market research is being conducted to determine interest, socio-economic category, and comments to the Performance Work Statement for the requirement. Interested parties are requested to submit comments to a total limit of five pages which address the following areas: 1) Is your business categorized as a large or small business? 2) Is your business associated with Ability One? 3) If small, does your firm qualify in other categories? If so, please state which categories such as 8(a),disadvantaged, woman-owned, service-disabled veteran, etc. 4) Would your business require a phase-in period prior to start-up of contract? If so, how many days? 5) What information do you require to propose to this service other than a performance work statement and the attachments to the performance work statement? 6) What comments do you have to the attached performance work statement and attachments?
