- The 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) at MacDill AFB issues this Sources Sought Synopsis for information only to locate sources who are capable. MacDill AFB, requires all parts, labor, tools, equipment, personnel, services, transportation and materials to provide the following: CLIN 0001 - KC-130 Right wing maintenance stand, 1EA. CLIN 0002 - Left wing maintenance stand, 1EA. CLIN - 0003 Hell hole maintenance stand, 1EA. CLIN 0004 - Nose dock maintenance stand, 1EA. CLIN 0005 - Shipping, 1EA. CLIN 0006 - Installation, 1EA. The maintenance stands must meet the following minimum requirements as listed: The stands must be sturdy enough to hold multiple maintainers with tools and toolboxes at once; Must allow access to aircraft inspection items; Must be made of aluminum; Must have wheels that allow the stands to be moved; Must have fluorescent lighting; Must have shelving to allow aircraft panels to be stored; Must have duplex power outlets; Stands must be contoured around the KC-135R and fit into hanger 2 at MacDill AFB; Must have non-slip walking surfaces; Must have hand rails; Must meet OSHA and ANSI safety standards. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System is 332323 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 PM EST time on 16 June, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar work described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (Socio-Economic Factors: 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business), business size based on NAICS 332323, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
