- Description
- NAICS Code: 561621 This amendment was necessary to provide clarification to the following questions posted by potential quoters. Question 1 : Please specify the size of the hatch required in the elevator lobby. Does it need to be a locking type? Answer 1: The IP receiver and computer CPU should be mounted on the rear of each monitor displays to be placed in the elevator lobby area. A hatch to accommodate the mounting of these items in the ceiling would not be applicable to this mount location. LOCATION #1 CAFETERIA Question 2: We are putting the equipment above the ceiling on a shelf. I wanted to know if any of the equipment needs to be controlled with an IR remote control? Answer 2: Yes, the IP Receiver does have a remote control. Question 3: Will power be installed above the ceiling for the equipment? Answer 3: A meeting will be held with the awardee of this contract and with the electrician who has been hired to accommodate the electrical and cabling connections for this work, representatives from EPA and a representative from building's management is required to meet prior to the initiation of all work. This pre-meeting will allow the coordination of work and to address issues such as the placement of electrical outlets to accommodate the requirements of this procurement. Question 4: In regards to the panel that you spec'ed, does it need two VGA inputs, because at the cafeteria location you have an optional laptop and video connection. Do you want a switch or does it have to be done through the panel? Answer 4: A switch would be preferred. LOCATION #2 ELEVATOR Question 5: How much space is between the sheet rock ceiling and the main ceiling? Answer 5: 40 inches Question 6: You are opening the ceiling to run power and cat5E to this location. Will you be leaving the ceiling open? Answer 6: As mentioned in Answer 3 during the pre-meeting, issues of access will be coordinated to allow all work to be performed as efficiently as possible. Question 7: If you are not leaving it open, will you be making an access hatch there so we can access the main ceiling to mount the LCD panels to it? Answer 7: Answer addressed in Answer 6. LOCATION #3 MAIN LOBBY Question 8: Can the equipment reside behind the LCD inside the wall? It will allow you to keep the LCD close to the wall. Answer 8: Yes, the equipment can reside behind the LCD in the wall. All electrical and cabling needed for this work will be provided by an electrician who has been hired specifically to accommodate the work outlined in this RFQ. This amendment is also necessary to incorporate Wage Grade Determination 05-2449 Revision 6 which is located at www.wdol.gov/wdol/scafiles/std/05-2449.txt. No other changes are made to this solicitation.
