Description
CCTV SYSTEM REPAIR The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service Division (FPSD) is seeking potential sources to replace all perimeter black and white cameras with low light color cameras. The CCTV requires replacement of all 9", 15" inch monitors with color monitors, replace Robot multiplexor, Pelco Controller, and replace VCR with one DVR and replacement of all pan/tilt units. The contractor may reuse existing cabling, conduit and fixed camera housing units. It will be the responsibility of the contractor, to make an examination of the work site to determine location (s) of equipment to be installed. The contractor is responsible to perform a complete inspection and functional test on completion. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, expertise, equipment, materials, transportation and appliances necessary to repair the CCTV cameras, and VCR's, equipment in the CCTV Control Room at the Federal Building, and ensure the system is operational and functioning. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service Division, (FPSD), reserves to itself the authority for making technical determinations on the equivalence or acceptability of any security product or security system component for any security system installed or monitored by the DHS. Work includes de-installation, removal and disposal of existing equipment, installation of new equipment. Work includes all accessories, hardware, and appurtenances necessary to provide a complete and function CCTV color system. The place of performance for this effort will take place at the Federal Building in Long Beach, California. Interested companies are requested to provide information on products and services similar in scope and effort. Respondents to this RFI may provide catalogs, drawings and illustrations, technical manuals, training material, warranties, test documentation, brochures, and any other documentation describing the capability to design, develop, manufacture, and support an effort of the type described herein. Interested companies are requested to identify government and commercial customers to whom identical or similar equipment has been delivered and to provide a customer point of contact, including telephone number, e-mail address or web site, quantities and dates sold, and a description of the units. This RFI is issued for the purpose of determining market interest, feasibility, and capability of sources. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Information herein is based on the best information available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding upon the government. No reimbursement will be made of any costs to provide information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced under a separate FedBizOpps announcement. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Each response must reference the "sources sought" title.
