- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-09-T-0231 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-13 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The NAICS code is 334519. The agency need is for: CLIN 0001: Quantity: 14, Unit of Issue: Each, DESCRIPTION: - Questemp 46 Heat Stress Monitor. This RFQ is for brand name or equal products. Any quote submitted utilizing equal products must include descriptive literature. The following salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics must be met in order for an "equal" item to be acceptable for award: Shall Withstand 110 plus degree weather. Shall Measure the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) humidity index. Shall have a setting or is capable of programming the USMC heat index as shown below (required temperatures and flags need to be displayed by the system): 80-84.9 -Green Flag, 85-87.9 - Yellow Flag, 88-89.9 - Red Flag, 90 and above - Black Flag. Shall be capable of being left outside 24/7 in a a heavy corrosion semi-tropical environment located near coastal areas often with harsh wind, rain, and hot days of the year. Shall not require the use of distilled water to function. Shall connect directly to the internet and display conditions on the web via an underground cable. Shall be compatible wit! h the current configuration: Current system connect with Netlink II internet connection boxes that link our system to the internet via an underground cable that connects from the current system to the Netlink II box. Shall be a user friendly system to ensure ease of use for anyone in charge of monitoring the system Expected delivery date to the end-user, Bldg 5831, Base Safety Office, Camp S.D. Butler, Chatan Cho, Okinawa, Japan 904-0100 30 days after the award. All offers shall be in English language. Stateside delivery and local delivery is acceptable. Delivery point from offers is to, Bldg 5831, Base Safety Office, Camp S.D. Butler, Chatan Cho, Okinawa, Japan. All services/material awarded under this contract are expected to be delivered 30 days after the award. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the Government considering price, quality, warranty, and delivery terms.
