- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole-source acquisition to provide scheduled maintenance and calibration inspection and unscheduled maintenance on OIS 3D Ophthalmic Imaging System (model # WS5000) at Ehrling Bergquist clinic, Offutt AFB, NE. No other contractor is capable of providing this service due to the unique proprietary ability to service said item. OIS is the sole provider of these items, which are currently maintained under warranty through 1 July 2009. The Government now requires extending the service agreement for one year plus 4 option years as this has become a recurring requirement. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because OIS is the manufacturer of the equipment and is currently the only known company to provide the require logistic support. The procurement of this turn up must be completed in a timely manner in order to meet mission requirements.
