Description
This announcement is issued for informational and planning purposes. This Request for Information (RFI) is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to the RFI will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Bureau of Public Debt on behalf of the Armed Forces Retirement Home is hereby seeking sources that can provide Bowling Center Maintenance. The objective of this RFI is to obtain capability statements from interested parties capable of performing this service by providing information on past performance experience and a description of primary services provided to Government or commercial customers related to this type of work. All interested parties are hereby invited to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages to illustrate capabilities and which must address the following areas: Specific Tasks. -The contractor shall supply supervision, labor and tools for all repairs, adjustments and maintenance to the bowling center equipment. The Contractor shall inform the COTR and the CO prior to ordering / replacing any repair parts. -All repairs, adjustments, and maintenance shall be done in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. -All repair parts used will be replaced with the original equipment manufacturer replacement parts (if available). -The AFRH-W has an inventory of parts on hand, to be used, prior to purchasing additional repair parts. -The contractor will be responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of parts in the on-hand inventory. The parts may be replaced at the discretion of the COTR. The contractor will coordinate the ordering of parts with the COTR to insure that an adequate supply is on hand to handle emergency requirements. -The contractor will be responsible for making any adjustments and repairs to the bowling center equipment that is discovered as a result of the annual American Congress Lane Inspection. The contractor shall be present when the inspection is being performed and the AFRH-W will notify the contractor of the inspection date. -The contractor must be onsite for regularly scheduled events, once per week. -The AFRH conducts an annual four-day member's tournament. The Contractor shall have a qualified person on site during the tournament to insure that there are no interruptions due to equipment failure during game play. The date and time of the tournaments will be coordinated with the contractor at least 30 days in advance of the tournament. -The contractor shall provide preventive maintenance on a weekly basis to include, but not limited to, the ball return, pinsetters, oiling and and stripping lanes (as needed). -If, for any reason, the contractor is unable to show up on time for any regularly scheduled work, the contractor shall supply substitute manpower to perform the task. -All solvents, oils, lubricants and chemical that are left on site shall be stored in the flammable storage cabinet provided in the Pinsetters area. All items shall be kept in their designated storage locations. The aisle way behind the Pinsetters shall be kept clean and free from obstacles. The workbench shall be kept clean from all tools, supplies, and repair parts. Responses to this request can be emailed to PSB1@bpd.treas.gov - Attention: Harry Scott by June 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm ET.
