- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This posting is for Request for Quote (RFQ) W912HN-09-T-0052. This is a 100% set-aside for Small Businesses and is solicited under NAICS 331513. The small business size standard for this NAICS is 500 employees. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-32. Description of Requirement: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires four (4) trunnion bearings to be cast and machined. Please see attachment for full scope of work. This Request for Quote incorporates the following provisions: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items ---- Offerors must include a completed copy of 52.212-3 in their offer. This Request for Quote incorporates the following clauses: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items FAR 52.222-49, Service Contract Act Place of Performance Unknown. The place of performance is unknown. The Contracting Officer will obtain wage determinations for additional possible places of performance if asked to do so in writing by the time specified in FAR 52.222-49. Other provisions and clauses included are in the attached SF 1449. Full text may be accessed electronically at www.arnet.gov/far. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR); the website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The completed Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (FAR 52.212-3) must be submitted along with each proposal. Quotes are due no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time, June 17, 2009. You are encouraged to submit quotes electronically.
