- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled "THIRTY-INCH INDUSTRIAL WATER BALLVALVES AT NASA STENNIS SPACE CENTER MS" which was posted on 5/11/2009. You are notifiedthat the following changes are made. The description of the work to be performed,paragraph two of the notice, is replaced in its entirety with the following:The work to be performed under this requirement shall consist of the manufacturing anddelivery of commercial off the shelf metal seated ball valves for drop in replacement ofexisting ball valves in the industrial water delivery system. These ball valves have thefollowing characteristics: Designed to ASME 31.3, Resilient metal seats with flangedends drilled to applicable ANSI B16.1 standard class 250; Double seated allowing sealingin both directions; Design pressure of 300 psig; Operating pressure rating of 0 to 300psig; Design temperature range of 35F to 150F; Cast iron pipe flanges and fittings;Pneumatic operator with pressure range of 800 to 1000 psig; Limit proximity switches(totally enclosed) for both open and close; Self-flushing cast ductile iron body; Flangeto flange dimension of 46 inches minimum, 48 inches maximum; Overall size replacement andgeneral configuration of existing, older valves (Henry Pratt Company 30 Double Seat BallValves) thereby requiring no modification of mating pipe system, commercially cleanedprior to assembly, hydrostatic tested to 1.5 times maximum available working pressure(MAWP), and leak tested per manufacturer standards; external surfaces to be painted permanufacture standards (primer and top coat minimum). The contractor will receive accessto the site for drop off at the B-Complex Test Facility. Unloading will be accomplishedby SSC personnel/contractors.Also, Amendment 000001, incorporating vendor questions, has been posted.The due date for responses is NOT extended.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application.
