Description

During the period of 01 October 2009 through 30 September 2012, this procurement will provide engineering technical support required for the acquisition, development, deployment, and operational support of Reentry Body aspects of the Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) strategic weapon systems. SSP intends to enter into this agreement with the ITT Corporation, Advanced Engineering and Science, 5009 Centennial Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO, 80919, since they are the only known source having knowledge and expertise required to support technical, programmatic, and operational aspects of current and future Reentry Body systems development, refurbishment, and life extension programs, as well as the assessment of Reentry Body system performance and vulnerability to harsh environments. This contract will also include options within first year, as well as two one year option periods. Security Clearance Required. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Numbered Note 22.
