- Description
- RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, permits, license, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision necessary to perform the demolition, renovation and new construction as indicated in drawings and specifications for project 544-08-108, Renovate Handicap Access Bldg 100A at the WJBD VA Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina. This opportunity is 100% set-aside for qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code for the procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small business size standard of $33.5M. All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This includes final inspection, completion of any punch list items, and final clean-up. The estimated dollar amount of the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The solicitation will be available ON or ABOUT Thursday, June 17, 2009. Pre-Bid site visit is schedule for Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. EST Bldg 20. (Site visit not mandatory but highly recommended) Questions regarding project will not be accepted after Tuesday, July 7, 2009. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Administrative Contracting Officer listed in the announcement. Bidders are advised not to contact the A/E for the referenced project. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure a complete solicitation package is downloaded from Federal Business Opportunities web site. The date for bid opening is Wednesday, July 15, 2009 2:30 p.m. EST Building 20. The Government shall make award to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government.
