- RFP No. FQ9091/RSC-RAIL - Procurement of One Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) Railtrain with Rail Pick-up/Laydown Unit The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Authority) is soliciting proposals for the procurement of one Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) Railtrain with Rail Pick-up/Laydown Unit in accordance with RFP FQ9091/RSC. The basis for award of this procurement is technically acceptable, low price RFP. Proposals are due on or about Friday, July 10, 2009 no later than 2:00 P.M. The Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) Railtrain with Pickup/Layout Unit is required to be delivered 9 months after receipt of notice of award. Please submit all questions to Ms. Ruby S. Coley, Contract Administrator, via e-mail at rcoley@wmata.com. For minor clarifications, she may be reached at 202-962-1213. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted on or about June 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Meeting Room Lobby Level, Washington, DC 20001. The solicitation will be available for downloading on or about June 5, 2009. Vendors are advised to revisit this site to check for amendments or other information and updates. To receive a copy of the solicitation and amendment you must provide your email address, to include company's names, address, point of contact, phone number and fax number. To qualify for an award, all vendors must be registered in the WMATA Vendors Registration System (VRS).
