- DescriptionThis action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. In compliance with this Act the Government posts this notice that a competitive award for $459,100 was made on a Multiple Award Construction Contract to Stronghold Engineering as task order N68711-05-D-4012-0019.Rationale for this type of action is as follows: This acquisition to support the Navy mission was awarded competitively on an existing Multiple Award Construction Contract for Dry Utilities. The requirements of this project fit within the scope of work on the Basic Contract.Summary of Project Scope: The work to be performed provides for the repair of Information Technology (IT) vulnerabilities at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. The project provides the necessary electrical and mechanical improvements to accommodate future IT loads. Additionally, the project includes the provision of a new 70kVA uninterruptable power supply (UPS), a new electrical panel and transformer, associated re-wiring to support servers and efficiently re-direct emergency power, replacement and/or relocation of existing HVAC perforated floor tiles, new ceiling return grilles, ductwork, new fire smoke dampers, and repair of the Emergency Power Off switch. Option items not awarded but remain optional for 180 days from task order award include a raised floor grounding grid and hazardous material abatement.
