- This procurement is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PL. 11-5 (February 17, 2009). Center Name: POTOMAC JOB CORPS CENTER Location: WASHINGTON, DC I. SOURCES SOUGHT – HUBZONE General Contractor for renovation and addition The existing built-up roof on Building 44 is deteriorated and has reached the end of its useful life; water has contributed to insulation damage (approximately 7,150 SF). Construction services are required to replace the built-up roof system with a modified bitumen system; replacement of the existing insulation with tapered rigid type for positive roof drainage; the deck thoroughly cleaned, a base sheet installed in cold mastic, the insulation installed and the plies installed in cold mastic; flashing is to be replaced on the perimeter of the roof and around the penetrations; the new roof shall be given a 20-year warranty and an installer guarantee for 2-years. The surface and underground drainage has deteriorated at several locations and services for the constructed remedy of various drainage deficiencies; water ponding occurs around the several buildings and drain lines are blocked or broken; ponding contributes to water seeping and penetrating through walls and conduit; drainage beneath, between and/or around buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 44, 46, and 50; buildings have presented signs of settlement; work includes removal of side walks, regarding soil, repair of broken drain lines, seeding and replacement of sidewalks. Total construction range is between $250,000 to $500,000. This work is planned to take place between August 2009 and August 2010. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are HUBZone businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work.
