- This procurement is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PL. 11-5 (February 17, 2009). Center Name: BAMBERG JOB CORPS CENTER Location: BAMBERG, SC I. SOURCES SOUGHT – HUBZONE General Contractor for renovation and addition The work includes services for the design and construction to approximately 15,000 SF of extensive renovation on the four buildings at the Bamberg Job Corps Center, renovation to the interior Building 1 for soft vocations and non-academic functions, the interior of Building 2 for bathroom renovations, the interior of Building 3 for Administration functions, and the interior of Building 20 to consolidate hard vocations and to expand Culinary Arts at the Bamberg Job Corps Center. General clean-up and general repairs to the building. Mold, mildew, and asbestos remediation; life safety components that include, fire and egress door replacement, fire alarm system repair or upgrade, and all code required safety systems need to be verified for proper operation; verification and repair/replacement of all emergency lighting and exit signage in normal and loss of permanent power modes are also required to assure proper operation; Architectural repairs/replacements to, damaged and inoperable doors and door frames, windows, interior finishes, ceilings, walls, floor tiles, interior and exterior painting and cleaning of exterior walls. Electrical replacements of, wiring, conduits, light fixtures, lamps and fire alarms. Mechanical repairs cleaning of ductwork, HVAC equipment, fire dampers, grilles, diffusers, air filters and smoke detectors. Total construction range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. This work is planned to take place between August 2009 and August 2010. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are HUBZone businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work.
