- THIS IS AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) FOR Construction of Project PRQE 062651, Repair Building 41 for ACS, McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS. Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on 4 Jun 09 at 10:00 am, HQ Bldg 3, KSANG, McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS. Description The 184th Intelligence Wing, McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for the construction of Project PRQE 062651, Repair Building 41 For ACS. Project is located at McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas, and shall be constructed in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Magnitude of this project is approximately between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. In order to coordinate around existing occupants, this project will be completed in three phases. Completion time is anticipated to take approximately 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. There will be an on-site Pre-Bid meeting, for all interested contractors and subcontractors, on 04June 2009 at 10:00AM at Building 3, 53260 Jayhawk Drive, Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas. Bids will be accepted until 23 June 2009, 1:00PM, CST. This project consists of a partial remodel of Building 41 and reconfiguring the site surrounding the building. Main Remodeling will include: Demolition, interior reconfiguration, exterior reconfiguration, modifications to plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, communication and electrical systems, as required. Install new mezzanine, radar tower, technical pad area, radio tower, and satellite tower to include foundation and accessories. Site work includes: demolition, grading, fencing, pavements, utilities, and drainage. Other work to be completed: Projector mounts, screens and TV mounts, asphalt mill and overlay, canopy roof, pavilion pad relocation, demolish overhead door, dumpster demolition/ pavement, demolish room 133A, and enlarge overhead hangar door. Plans & Specs will be posted on or about 22 May 09. Solicitation will be posted on or about 28 May 09.
