Description
This requirement is for a five year, firm fixed price, Requirements- type-contract for the B-52 Drag Chute Maintenance Stand NSN: 1730-01-567-5139. The purchase description (PD) accompanying the request for proposal will identify the technical and program requirements for the B-52 Drag Chute acquisition. This requirement will consist of one basic period of 24 months and 4 annual options. The best estimated quantities (BEQs) are as follow: Basic Period: 1, Option I: 5 ea, Option II: 5 ea, Option III: 5 ea, Option IV: 5 ea. The successful offeror shall be required to complete a first article unit which shall be subject to the required test in accordance with the PD prepared for this acquisition. Required test will be identified in the test procedures and test/inspection report, which the contractor shall prepare for program engineer approval. This requirement will also include data such as technical manuals, etc. The government will issue delivery orders against the resultant requirements-type contract so as to order the B-52 Drag Chutes. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit, and detailed instruction contained in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government will utilize the Technical Acceptable Performance Price Tradeoff procedures (TA-PPT), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the "Evaluation Basis for Award" provision in the RFP. This acquisition will be 100% set aside for small business. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 15 June 2009. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
