Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (Focal Technologies Corporation as the primary subcontractor) for the purchase of two (2) electro-optical slip rings per Focal Technologies Corporation drawing #103045-02. The Navy has invested over two years in the development and testing of the Electro-Optical Slip Ring Assembly (EOSRA). The Electro-Optical Slip Ring Assembly is an upgrade to the current AN/SQR-19 Electrical Slip Ring Assembly used by the U.S. Navy Fleet in the OK-410(v) 2 winch assembly. The new EOSRA is created by mating the AN/SQR-19 Electrical Slip Ring Assembly to a Focal Technologies Electro-Optical Slip Ring unit. The Focal Technologies EOSR unit is unique physically and functionally for compatibility with the OK-410 Winch and compatibility with the MFTA Tow Cable Assembly.
