Description
The National Park Service, is seeking interested parties for the following Storage Area Network purchase, installation and maintenance: Purchase of Information Technology Storage Area Network for the Natural Resource Program Center The National Park Service (NPS) Natural Resource Program Center (NRPC) administers vast quantities of important service wide data. The NRPC Office of Natural Resource Information Systems requires a highly reliable, expandable, and easy-to-administer storage area network (SAN) to facilitate the reliable storage and retrieval of data hosted at the Fort Collins Colorado NRPC facility. The technical environment includes IBM Blade Servers, stand alone traditional servers, and fiber channel switches. Storage solutions must be compatible with CommVault software and MS Windows OS. A 24 month warranty would be required for all of the equipment. Ideally, the Storage Area Network (SAN) deployed will initially store up to 100TB of non-compressed data and be readily expandable to at least 200TB. High product reliability and effective 7x24 technical support services is absolutely essential. The design of the product must assure quick and automated built-in failover with guaranteed fault-tolerance capabilities and operational health monitoring and notification services. A comprehensive "drop in place" solution inclusive of switches, cabling, UPS, racks, storage controllers, disk arrays, emergency replacement kit, and administrative software. Additionally, the vendor will be capable of providing in-depth onsite training to local administrators.Equipment delivery would be approximately 30 to 45 days after award and installation would occur over a 2-3 day period during off-hours.
