Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE order under the existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-08-G-0010 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), P.O. Box 9729 Stratford, CT 06615-9129 on an other than full and open competitive basis in accordance with FAR 6.302. SAC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the H-60 air vehicle. The anticipated order will incorporate product improvements to the lightweight Pilot and Co-Pilot seats in the MH-60S aircraft to include vertical emergency release handle with improved rigidity, additional and revised frangible strut caution labels, variable-load absorber (VLEA) improved spring hook attachments, revised seat cable routing, and improved emergency tilt pins. The scope of this work includes the preparation and submittal of a Class II Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and all non-recurring effort to integrate the Pilot and Co-Pilot seats into the production line. As such, SAC is the only source with the technical data and experience necessary to perform this effort in a timely and effective manner. For subcontracting opportunities, contact SAC.
