- Description
- Fort Hood Directorate of Contracting is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for a firm fixed price construction contract to repair Bldg 12001, located at Fort Hood Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for qualifying HUB-ZONE firms under NAICS 238990 (Size Standard $14 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1 Million. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, Bell County, Texas. Davis Bacon Wage Decision TX20080049, version 4, Building Construction for Bell and Coryell Counties, Texas will govern work under this contract. Performance and payment bonds, in the bid amount, are required for this contract. A bid guarantee in the amount of 20% of the bid price is also required. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. Under this contract, the contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturers specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. This project encompasses full construction to include, but not limited to: Perform complete asbestos abatement of building to include wall board, floor tile, black mastics, caulkings and putties. Perform demolition of wood framed walls; drywall ceilings; suspended acoustical ceiling grid and tiles; window air-conditioning units; vinyl composition floor tile and carpet; doors, vault door, windows, window blinds, wood cabinets, wood trim, wood paneling, wood wainscot paneling, wood counters, wood chair railings, wood book shelving, mechanical HVAC systems to include fan coil units, four pipe hot and cold water lines and ductwork; roof vents, electrical systems, ceiling fans, communication systems, etc. Repair office areas, wall framing and drywall; replace flooring, replace windows and blinds; replace restrooms to include partitions, mirrors, ceramic wall and floor tile; replace complete suspended acoustical ceiling grid and tiles; replace windows and roller shades; replace doors and door frames; steam clean exterior brick walls; repair chips and holes in CMU block walls; fill, patch and fully restore the integrity of walls, ceilings and floors caused by demolition; fill, patch restore all substrates and finishes where fixtures, partitions and miscellaneous specialties have been removed; paint walls, doors, door frames, hand railings and exterior paintable surfaces; reseal exterior expansion joints; spray foam insulation inside wall framing at exterior walls and roof deck; replace windows, window frames, store front doors and store front windows; replace roof hatch and ladder; replace complete HVAC systems to include AHU unit and chilled water lines; replace complete plumbing systems to include drain piping, cold water piping, hot water piping, water closets, urinals, sinks; replace complete electrical systems to include electrical feeders, electrical panel boards, electrical metering, electrical conduit, boxes and electrical wiring; replace complete electrical lighting systems to include electrical luminaries, dimming luminaries, switches, electrical motion sensors, dimmer switches, conduit, boxes, electrical wiring; replace complete communications systems to include voice data/outlets, CAT 6 wiring, patch panels, conduit and boxes; along with Knox box. The Government has allocated 210 calendar days for completion all of the contract requirements. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 Jun 09 under solicitation number W91151-09-B-0011 to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
