Description
SOLICITATION for CONSTRUCTION To view the solicitation and applicable attachments for this procurement, please visit:http://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm, Select "Current Announcements" and then select "Southern Region." Refurbishment of Low-Level Windshear Alert System (LLWAS) Poles at the Fayetteville and Asheville Regional Airports, North Carolina. The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services as necessary to satisfactorily complete the refurbishment of the six LLWAS poles and appurtenances. Estimated performance time: 15 calendar days for each project. Estimated price range: $50,000.00 to $100,000.00.Estimated due date for offers: June 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm.Estimated start date for project: July 2009 This requirement is offered to all qualified, responsive concerns and offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. This order will be: 1st - 8(a) certified SEDB, 2nd - SDVOSBs, 3rd - Small Businesses, 4th - Large Businesses. Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outlined in Section M. A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated. The NAICS code for the acquisition is 238990 - All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. To be considered by award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: ww.ccr.gov). *****All communications must be done in written by email at Kiersten.Sellers@faa.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. ***** This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
