- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for the supply of a BOAT DOCK EXTENSION to lengthen the existing Atlantic Meeco Boat Dock at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, Fritch, Texas. NAICS Code 237990 with small business size standard of $33.5 million. 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Description of docks are as follows. The extensions must be designed to bolt up to the existing dock accurately and securely. Each section must be 8 feet wide, made of galvanized steel, and range in length from 20 to 30 feet. Over the full 120 ft length of the new boat dock extensions, there needs to be a minimum of 4 winches and 1 swivel. The overall width of the existing dock is 99-1/4 inches including the composite side rails. The existing floatation boxes are 4 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 12 inches high. The frame must be hot dip galvanized steel 12 inches tall, 8 feet wide and approximately 20 to 30 feet long depending on the winch and swivel arrangement as designed by the vendor. The overall height of the dock is 25-3/8 inches including the Styrofoam floatation boxes and the recycled composite decking which is 1-3/8 inches thick. The side rail decking must be recycled composite material as well, approximately, 1-3/8 inches thick. Boat tie-off clears are to be mounted approximately every 10 ft. The government will pick the sections up within a 300 miles radius of Fritch, Texas 79036. Any vendor beyond this distance will have to quote the sections F.O.B Destination and set on the ground at the park's designated site in Fritch, Texas 79036.Dock must be available for shipping or pickup by October 1, 2009. This solicitation will be issued as Request for Quotes (RFQ) resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price contract. The Request for Quote will be issued on or about June 19, 2009 with the Proposal Due Date on or about July 15, 2009. Quotes received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with procedures outlined in FAR Part 15 for Best Value Trade Off. Selection will be based on price and past performance with price being equal to past performance. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about June 19, 2009 on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Potential quoters must register on FedBizOpps in order to receive notification(s) and/or changes(s) to the solicitation. Quoters must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a Government contract award.
