- Description
- The USPFO for New York intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for work to be performed at Combined Support Maintenance Shop "C" located at 1500 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14623. Work under this project consists of the contractor providing all material, labor, supervision and means required to complete the project in accordance with Government issued plans and specifications. Summary of work: a. Site Work: (1) Provide 100’ of 6”X 6’ precast concrete curbing at POV parking along the east side parking wall. (3) Remove selected fence posts, gates and fencing. (4) Provide one (1) 120V electric gate operator and controls at the POV entrance gate. Provide card reader access and pavement embedded exiting sensors. Protect gate opening with 8” bollards. b. Building work overview, see PowerPoint slides for additional details; (1) Provide a design concept and install a decorative aluminum mansard type canopy over the new store front window/door unit. $10,000.00 allowance. (2) West elevation: remove concrete stair system, door and frame, infill opening. Remove doors and frames (doors labeled #6 and #7) infill with CMU. Remove window to the right of “door #7”, enlarge opening to accept a storefront door/window unit. Provide a canopy system over storefront unit signifying the main building entrance. (3) Replace 63 windows; - 43 windows (approximately opening size: 10’-6” X 5’-0”) - 19 windows (approximately opening size: 5’-0 X 5’-0”) - 1 window (approximately opening size: 4’-0 X 4’-0”) (4) 5 windows (north, south and west elevations) have been altered to accept louvers. Remove the louvers and window unit. Infill window openings with CMU to accept the re-installation of the louver. New windows will not be required in at these areas. (5) At the east elevation, remove one (1) window (approximately opening size: 5’-0 X 5’-0”) Infill opening and create CMU chase around HVAC piping. (6) Replacement operable windows and storefront system shall be manufactured and supplied by the same company as provides the wall panel system. The basis of design is: http://www.centria.com/wallpanels/formavuewindows/pages/default.aspx. High performance glazing specification provided below. (7) Remove three (3) exterior doors, frames and associated hardware (west elevation) infill openings with CMU. (8) In filled openings note: paint CMU to match adjacent color. c. Insulated Wall Panel System (1) Provide an insulated wall panel system with 2” rigid insulation on all exterior walls. The contractor shall provide shop drawings and specific details showing how the wall panel system will integrate into the roofing system, doors and window openings and trim-out around other building systems to form a watertight seal and professional appearance. If the wall panel system is furred out from the face of the building that contractor shall provide shop drawings showing how the void (cavity space) will be insulated. (2) Provide new signage at two locations on the building “Combined Support Maintenance Shop- C” and “New York Army National Guard” and Ordinance ball logo. Provide a $15,000.00 allowance for graphic design and installation. d. Doors: provide existing passage doors with mechanical, top-of-door mounted stops (to prevent door swing damage to siding panels). e. HVAC f. Plumbing: Remove all hose bibs, see PowerPoint slides, where shown not removed provide new hose bibs. g. Electrical (1) Power and Communication: - Provide Best brand proximity card type security access control and door locking hardware (strike plate) at the new storefront door located as noted. Provide pedestal mounted Best brand proximity card type security access control at the entrance gate. (2) Lighting and general electrical notes; see PowerPoint slides for specific details. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between 1 and 5 million dollars. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS Code) applicable to this solcitation is 236220. The small business size standard is $34,000,000. An organized site visit will be conducted on a date to be determined. The date, time and location of the site visit will be posted as an attachment to this notice when finalized. Performance, payment and a bid bond will be required for this solicitation. All information regarding this solicitation will be provided electronically and posted on the fbo website. Paper copies of the IFB, Plans and Specifications will not be isssued. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be provided electronically and posted to the FBO website. Contractors are responsible for checking the website frequently in order to obtain any amendment(s) to the solicitation. Offers are solicited only from HUBZone small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered.
