Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a class of actions for the FY10-FY14 procurement of the Broach Lethal Package (Augmenting Charge (AC), Follow-Through-Bomb (FTB), FTB Kit, AC Container, FTB Container, and Program Management/Engineering Support) for the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) AGM-154C (Navy and FMS). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The multistage Broach warhead, designed by BAE Systems, is the only payload that meets the Government's requirements for penetration and blast fragmentation capability within the required schedule requirements. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with BAE Systems at the following address: BAE Systems, Land Systems, Central Avenue, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 6AD, United Kingdom. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies and services anticipated herein is 332993, Ammunition (except Small Arms) Manufacturing. Once NAVAIR finalizes its requirements for the subject effort, a prerequisite for receiving contract award will be registration in the DoD’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
