- THE FOLLOWING PROJECT IS COVERED UNDER THE RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT - THIS PROJECT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - NAICS CODE = 238990 = $14.0M The FAA is seeking experienced small business with expertise in parking lot paving to perform the work as described below:A.Furnish all material, equipment, labor, and supervision to accomplish the work described in this specification. The work includes:1.Mill (remove) approximately 6,000 square yards (SY) of the existing asphaltic pavement to a depth of 1.5-inches +/- 1/8-inches. Contractor responsible for all field measurements.2.Removed material will be spread and compacted to 1 inch in the area adjacent to the parking lot as directed by Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). 3.Seal all joints, cracks, edges, and corners of the pavement area. Fill cracks greater than 1-inch wide, prior to asphalt placement.4.Pave with leveling course.5.Pave with ware course.6.Mix shall meet MNDOT 2360, LVWEB23013 specification.7.After allowing new asphalt surface to cure for a minimum of 30 days, apply one coat of penetrating primer and two coats of sand-slurry sealer.8.South Parking Lot: After seal coat cures, paint parking stalls, arrows, curbs, and other pavement markings as shown on attached project drawing.9.North Parking Lot: Paint parking stalls, arrows, curbs, and other pavement markings per existing. COTR will direct. 10.Replace all handicap signs. Offer range is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance time of approximately 90 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for August 2009. Interested firms should submit a letter of interest to the above named Contracting Officer along with a listing of similar comparable projects performed over the last 5 year period and the Business Declaration Form. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
