- Description
- The Department of Veteran's Affairs, Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, Iowa is procuring REFUSE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES to be performed at the Des Moines, Iowa campus. This requirement is solicited in accordance with the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and the procedures in FAR Part 13.5, Test program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm fixed price services type contract with estimated quantities will be awarded for a BASE YEAR starting October 1, 2009 to run through September 30, 2010, pus FOUR (4) Option Years of TWELVE Months each for a total contract duration not to exceed five (5) years or sixty (60) months, if exercised by the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 56211 (Solid Waste Collection) with a Small Business Size Standard of $12.5 million. For the calculation of annual receipts and number of employees see parts 121.104 and 121.106 in the SBA Small Business Size Regulations, http://www.sba.gov/regulations/121/. The solicitation, REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), Solicitation # VA-263-09-RP-0231, will be issued on or about July 1, 2009 with a closing date of receipt of quotes on or about August 1, 2009, which will be posted on the Government Wide Point of Entry (GPE) accessed via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation and/or amendments will be distributed. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this avenue (FEDBIZOPPS) for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, supervision and management necessary to provide Refuse and Recycling Collection and Disposal Services for the VA Central Iowa Health Care Campus, Des Moines, Iowa, in compliance with all local Iowa and Federal laws.
