- This is a Public Announcement for the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Oklahoma City, OK for the Acquisition of XEROX Brand Copier and Fax Repair and Maintenance Support Services. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to the Public Announcement. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, and other businesses capable of providing annual XEROX Brand Copier and Fax Repair and Maintenance Support Services for the following machines: Xerox Fax RYU264074Xerox Fax T9R121807Xerox Fax MYP016453Xerox Fax RYU259122Xerox Fax EAC322961Xerox Fax MKL003494Xerox Fax MKL006797Xerox Copier TFN674408Xerox Copier UTV105816Xerox Copier NWL010371Xerox Copier MRN015701Xerox Copier KMM001895Xerox Copier 14P008346Maintenance should cover the period of 1 year and include parts, labor, and supplies. All parts should be covered. This above listing of Copiers and fax machines is Not Final and is Subject to Change. A formal Request for Quotation will be issued on or before June 11th, 2009. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811212, Office machine repair and maintenance services (except communication equipment) and 811213, Fax machine repair and maintenance services. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. The anticipated release date of the Request for Quotation will be on June 10, 2009. The evaluation criteria for the offers will be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1.Capability Statement - This document should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), Number of years in business 2. Geographical areas where your company can provide services 3. Expected programmatic approach (in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc.) - Respondents must provide their strategy for accomplishing this work, including the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. Prior to award of a purchase order, all contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration, www.ccr.gov.
