Description

The purpose of amendment # 2 is to delete SECTION C.1.7 SUBCONTRACTS and to post questions and answers pertaining to this solicitation. The following section is hereby deleted from the solicitation: C.1.7SUBCONTRACTS No subcontracts are anticipated for this contract. However, any subcontract would require prior written permission of the NRC Contracting Officer. The following questions and answers pertain to this solicitation: 1) In reference to C.1.3, Contract Objective, the objectives are broad. What is the level of detail expected? Will this ABWR Technology Training Manual be used to conduct a 2 week, 6 week, etc. course? The second paragraph is specific to the level of detail required (see bullets i. through ix.). The material will be used by the NRC for training courses of varying lengths. 2) The solicitation does not address writing Objectives for the training manual. Is this something that the NRC would prefer to be included in the manual? The objectives for the various training courses, which this manual will be the text for, will be developed by the NRC. 3) Is it an option to request additional time for development? The NRC expects that the bulk of the material has already been developed and will only need to be adjusted as the NRC style manual. See C.1.4 Performance Work Statement. 4) More information on the level of detail or more specific objectives in these areas would be helpful. The NRC expects that the PRA and Design Basis information used to develop the Design Certification Package and proposed FSAR will be sufficient.
