Description

This project consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment, to remove Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) Ceiling and Floor Tile at FHA/Western Federal Lands Highway Division, Vancouver, WA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990. This solicitation is 100% set aside to small business firms, all others will be deemed non responsive. The related small business size standard is $13.0 M. The proposed performance period is 20 calendar days after notice to proceed. The magnitude of this proposed construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a period of performance (POP) of 30 days to provide the following service: Asbestos Abatement - Removal of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) from office buildings by competent persons who are trained, knowledgeable, qualified, and properly certified/licensed in the techniques of asbestos removal, handling, disposal, and clean-up; Ceiling Work - Removal and replacement of ceilings and replacement of ceiling fixtures in areas affected by the asbestos abatement and removal and replacement of ceilings in an area where hard deck ceilings are located above suspended ceilings; Floor Work - Removal and replacement of floor coverings in areas affected by the asbestos abatement. The RFP response date July 8, 2009 with anticipated award date of July 15, 2009. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing and may be emailed to marlene.marcellay@fhwa.dot.gov or faxed to 360-619-7855, Attn: Marlene Marcellay. No telephone questions will be accepted. A site visit/walk through is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 9 am at the WFL office, 610 East Fifth Street, Vancouver, WA 98661. You are advised to arrive 10 minutes early to obtain clearance to the building. All contractors are reminded, in accordance with FARS 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration; contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. If the Offeror does not successfully register in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror.
